Project Steps

1. This design was etched in stages. The technique enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit. It also allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously.
2. This design also uses an embedding technique which allows one stencil image to be placed inside another.
3. After preparing the glass, position the Star of David stencil into the desired location on the vase. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the design onto the vase.
4. Thoroughly clean the glass. Use the hover and press method to position the letter stencil into the middle of the star. Use proper glass protecting methods, as before, around the letter stencil, and the same etching cream directions to etch the letter into the star.
5. Thoroughly clean the glass. Cut strong, thick waterproof tape to the shape of the star to cover it or use high quality nail polish.
6. Use hover and press to position the star into the pattern stencil.
7. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the design around the star.
