Project Steps
- This design was etched in stages. The technique enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit. It also allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously.
- After preparing the glass, position the heart stencil in a location on one side of the pitcher. Be sure to choose a location that allows enough room for the hummingbirds to be added later.
- Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the heart onto the pitcher.
- Thoroughly wipe down the design area with glass cleaner. Looking through the back of the glass, position a hummingbird on either side of the heart.
- Use the etching cream, as before, to add the hummingbirds to the design.
- Clean the glass again. Follow the wax directions to rub it into the etching,
