Project Steps

1. This design was etched in stages.The technique allows the use of a particular stencil image multiple times on the same project when you don't have enough to etch all simultaneously. Additionally, it enables stencil images to be placed in closer proximity than the stencil borders would otherwise permit.
2. This design also used a masking technique which allows for the selective use of certain parts of a stencil in specific locations.
3. After preparing the glass, position the Merry Christmas near the top of the wine glass. Follow the etching cream instructions to etch the words onto the glass.
4. Looking through the back, position an empty frame centered bellow the words on the glass. Beginning with the letters in the middle of the welcome, place the letters into the empty frame. Press down firmly. Use the etching cream, as before, to etch these onto the glass.
